Understanding Hair Transplantation

What is Hair Transplantation?

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that involves removing hair follicles from a donor site, usually the back or sides of the head, and transplanting them to bald or thinning areas. This procedure can be an effective solution for both men and women suffering from hair loss due to genetics, hormonal imbalances, or other factors.

Types of Hair Transplantation Methods

There are two main types of hair transplantation methods: Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a strip of skin with hair follicles from the donor site, while FUE involves individually extracting hair follicles. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice depends on factors like the patient’s hair type, the extent of hair loss, and the desired results.
